Praise be to Allah. Buying silver plated and gold plated jewelry from the internet. Not silver or gold the base is from brass. Salam Aleikom

Accepted Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

If the gold or silver plating of the jewelry was not stated in the description of the commodity in the contract and its value is not included in the jewelry's price, then it is permissible to buy it without stipulating the condition of immediate exchange (of money and goods). In this case, it is permissible to buy such jewelry on the Internet.

However, if the plating is stated in the description of the commodity in the contract and its value is included in the price, then the transaction is considered invalid except with the condition of immediate exchange.
