Why Allaah willed that the Prophet's sons die young

Question

i wanna ask why ALLAH take all children from Hazrat Mohammad (S.A.W.)? coz we know many prophets whose children are alive and they are not prophets? so what is the difference between this?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

Allaah, The Exalted, willed that the sons of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, die as young infants. Undoubtedly, there is ultimate divine wisdom in that. Whatever Allaah, The Knowing and Wise, does is done with great divine wisdom that may be known or unknown to us.

Some scholars said that the wisdom behind the death of the sons of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, in infancy is that if any of them lived, he would have become a prophet or a messenger, as was the case with Prophet Ibraaheem (Abraham), Ishaaq (Isaac), Ya‘qoob (Jacob), and Daawood (David), may Allaah exalt their mention. But it is known that not all the sons of Prophets, may Allaah exalt their mention, should necessarily be prophets as well. This is clearly reflected in the lives of the previous Prophets. In fact, the son of Prophet Nooh (Noah) may Allaah exalt his mention died as a disbeliever as stated in the Quran.

Other scholars said that the wisdom was that it was feared that people would fall into Fitnah (trials of faith) because of them, as they might go astray by their excessive reverence for the sons of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam. In fact, this opinion is stronger, because this has actually happened in history, as some Muslims have gone astray because of their excessive reverence and love for the relatives of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, which corrupted their beliefs and caused Fitnah among the Muslims.

Allaah Knows best.
