Question

Is a job with a local government organisation that involves buying hotels in foreign countries haram? The hotels serve alcohol, which is why I am asking. Thank you.

All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

If the job in this organization involves taking part in buying hotels that serve alcohol, then this job is not permissible.

However, if the job has nothing to do with buying these hotels and involves other lawful activities, then this job is permissible.
