I'm a student. I have headache if I doesn't recite Qur'an and specially the Surah Al-Ghashiyah (Surah no.88), I have this since last week. When I heard its recitation for the first time I really liked this Surah and started to by-heart it and I'll recite it daily at least 3 times. And now it happens that if I don't recite it then I don't feel of doing any work. Please kindly suggest me what I should do.
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
Loving the Qur'an is a good thing and you will be rewarded for it. The Qur'an is the Words of Allaah and it is the best speech. Loving a specific chapter of the Qur'an is also a good thing. One of the companions of the Prophet loved chapter Al-Ikhlaas (sincerity) [112], and when he was asked why he loved to read it much in prayer, he replied that it is because it is about one of the Attributes of Allaah and he liked reading it. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
Therefore, chapter Al-Ghaashiyah (the overwhelming event (i.e., the Day of Judgment)) [88] is a good thing because all the Qur'an is a cure, Allaah says (what means): {And We send down from the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism and act on it), and it increases the polytheists (and wrong-doers) in nothing but loss.} [Quran 17:82].
However, you do not have to recite it a specific number of times daily, because if you do so this could be considered as an additional innovation, that is, to add out of one's own mind a quality, a number or a time to perform an act of worship which was not set by Islamic Law.
Having a headache or being unable to do anything if you do not recite this chapter might be because of suffering from a certain condition, so we advise you to consult a female doctor and seek the help of Allaah and mention Him much and read the Qur'an as much as possible as it is a healing and a cure for the Muslims as we mentioned.
Allaah Knows best.
