The wife of a Bosnian Serb war crimes suspect has been killed in a shoot-out during a raid by European Union peacekeepers. Police say suspect Dragomir Abazovic and the couple's 11-year-old son were wounded, and are now being treated in hospital.

The EUFOR peacekeepers, who took over from NATO-led troops in 2005, were acting on a warrant for the arrest of Abazovic. He has been accused of crimes during the conflict that ravaged the region between 1992 and 95.
