Two Palestinians Killed & Several Wounded At Mukata Battle in Ramallah

Palestinians reported two dead and several wounded in fighting at the compound, known as the Mukata.

Military sources said the action was intended as a warning to Arafat that Israel holds him and the PA directly responsible for Wednesday's attack at the Megiddo junction near Afula.

A Palestinian intelligence officer was killed when occupation soldiers entered the city and another Palestinian was killed shortly before occupation troops exited the area, sources said.

The occupation army blew up several buildings inside the compound including its jail. Israeli occupation forces entering Ramallah included giant bulldozers, which were knocking down buildings.

Meanwhile, occupation troops continued to surround Palestinian towns and cities in the West Bank such as Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarm, and Kalkilya where it imposed a tight blockade.

TEN PALESTINIANS ARRESTED OVERNIGHT

Occupation authorities meanwhile arrested ten Palestinians in the Tulkarm, Bethlehem, and Hebron vicinities overnight.
The detainees are suspected of taking part in Resistance activities against Israelis.

Among them are three Palestinian youths from the village of Husan, southwest of Bethlehem.

The three are suspected of taking part in attacks against Israeli motorists traveling on the nearby bypass road.

The suspects were taken to the police station in Hebron for questioning.

Elsewhere, Palestinians in the southern Gaza Strip fired two mortar shells at an occupation army position in the Gush Atif bloc of communities earlier this morning.

There were no injuries in the attack.
