Indeed, reciting and pondering over the verses of the Noble Quran are among the fundamental ways of attaining bliss and inner serenity. Allah The Exalted Described the Noble Quran as a guidance, a light, a cure for the hearts, and as a mercy. Allah The Exalted Says (what means):

{O mankind, there has to come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers.…} [Quran 10:57]

{Then do they not reflect upon the Quran, or are there locks upon [their] hearts?} [Quran 47:24]

{Then do they not reflect upon the Quran? If it had been from [any] other than Allah, they would have found within it much contradiction.} [Quran 4:82]

{[This is] a blessed Book which We Have Revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.…} [Quran 38:29]

Some Muslim scholars clarified, "The Noble Quran is a blessed Book while reciting it, implementing its verses and principles, turning to it for judgment and deducing and inferring lessons from them."

Furthermore, one of the righteous said, "I once felt as if a thick cloud of depression and anxiety was hovering over me; I felt extremely and unbelievably sad, miserable and depressed. I picked up the Noble Quran and started reciting its verses for a while. Suddenly, by Allah The Exalted, all traces of depression, sadness and anxiety faded away and I savored the sweetness of bliss, joy and tranquility instead."

Allah The Exalted Says (what means):

{Indeed, this Quran guides to that which is most suitable…} [Quran 17:9]

{(… a plain Book, i.e. The Quran,) By which Allah Guides those who pursue His pleasure to the ways of peace…} [Quran 5:16]

{And thus We Have Revealed to you an inspiration of Our Command.…} [Quran 42:52]
