All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Allaah Says (what means): {There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; [he is] concerned over you [i.e. your guidance] and to the believers is kind and merciful. But if they turn away, [O Muhammad ], say, “Sufficient for me is Allaah; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne.”}[Quran 9:128-129]
In these two verses, Allaah reminds the Muslim nation of His Bounties on them by sending the Prophet as a Messenger and clarifies the perfect qualities and attitudes of the Prophet . The Prophet is especially concerned about them being guided and becoming believers and embracing Islam and fears for them the indulgent in sins and subsequently being subjected to the punishment of Allaah. If they believe, then this is good, and if not then Allaah is sufficient for him and he should rely on Him.
This is the overall meaning of the above two verses. They are about the Prophet during his life and when he was propagating Islam, but they do not mean that he in his Barzakh life, [life in the grave after death] knows or is informed about the hardship that a Muslim experiences, and as a result, he feels pain due to that.
The Prophet died like all other Prophets, may Allaah exalt their mention, and he is in the Barzakh life and we do not know exactly what takes place there.
Furthermore, it is not permissible for a Muslim to ask the Prophet after his death to remove his hardship and so forth. Had this been permissible, the companions would have definitely preceded us in doing so as they were more keen on performing good deeds than anyone else, and they experienced many calamities and afflictions but they did not do so.
A Muslim should directly supplicate Allaah. Allaah Says (what means): {And your Lord says, Call upon Me; I will respond to you.”}[Quran 40:60] For more benefit, please refer to Fataawa receiving the news of his nation while in his grave">86057 and died and is buried in Madeenah">86435.
Finally, it should be mentioned that there is a Hadeeth that the actions of the Muslim nation are presented to the Prophet in his grave but the scholars classified it as weak.
