All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
In our view, it is not permissible to enter those places where intoxicants are consumed and Zina (fornication or adultery) takes place, even if the purpose of entering is for study.
That is because entering such places may involve seeing those sins, and there is textual evidence from the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of the Prophet that it is an obligation to abandon the place of sin, and that whoever stays in the place of sin and does not forbid the people from doing it, he gets the same sin like them.
Moreover, a person should object to them if they speak about an act of disobedience or commit an act of disobedience, and if he is unable to forbid them from evil he should leave them.
On the other hand, a person who sits in those places to attend the presentation may see intoxicants exposed on the shelves or see those who drink it and the like.
