All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
What you said to your wife is not a conditional divorce; rather, it is a promise of divorce that is conditioned on her not waking up before the time which you mentioned. A promise does not lead to divorce unless the husband undertakes what he promised. Therefore, your wife is not divorced. For more benefit, please refer to Fataawa 92476 and 92383.
Finally, it should be noted that the words of divorce are serious, so one should not hasten to utter them. Moreover, threatening with divorce is not among the correct means of correcting the mistake of the wife. Rather, the treatment should be with wisdom and good advice.
