All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
It is permissible to mix Zamzam water with pure liquids but if there is no need, then this should not be done so that a person may benefit from it exclusively.
As regards mixing Zamzam water with impure liquids, like alcohol and the like, then this is prohibited as it is humiliating and disrespecting it while it is Islamically sacred, and this is also spoiling the water and a wasting of wealth.
Al-Mugheerah Ibn Shu’bah narrated that the Prophet said: “Allaah has indeed forbidden for you being undutiful to your mothers, burying your daughters alive, withholding (what you should give), and demanding (what you do not deserve), and Allaah dislikes for you three matters: idle talk, persistent questioning, and wasting of wealth.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim] For more benefit, please refer to Fatwa 118612.
As regards musical instruments, they are absolutely forbidden with the exception of the Duff (a tambourine-like instrument without bells). So, it is not permissible to listen to musical instruments even if it is not accompanied with songs. For further information, refer to Fataawa 81239 and 81545.
Allaah Knows best.
