Marwaan Ibn Al-Hakam

Question:
Salamalaikum, Respected sir I had known that Marwan bin Hakam was libertine person for his aims against Islam, but in Islamweb he is praised invariably. Isn't it true that bin hakam planned against osman bin affaan (r.a.) and destrotyed his position which was amongst sources against great fitna? Isn't it true that he killed Aishah (r.a.) very traitorously? In books its written that Marwan bin hakam invited Aishah (r.a.) for lunch/dinner and when she accepted, as she was very old woman at that time, he made a manhole along her way to his home and eventually she fell inside and later on expired due to wounds. Is this not true than why scholars call Aishah (r.a.) shaheeda (martyr)? Moreover, on one of the eid he climbed to pulpit to give sermon before eid prayer despite that Abu saed (r.a.) tried to stop him but he refused. When Abu (r.a.) saed said to him you changed but Marwan replied O Abu saed Gone is that which you know! He openly denied the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh). Sir, if Marwan bin hakam is a good man than there is no reason to hate him but if these things are true about him which I mentioned above than how come we love and praise the enemy of ALLAH (Almighty). Answer:
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
We have previously explained that Marwaan Ibn Al-Hakam was not a Companion according to the most preponderant opinion of the scholars 
and it is not true that he killed ‘Aa’ishah 
. For more benefit in this regard, please refer to Fatwa 140015.
The historians and biographers stated that Marwaan had committed atrocities and abominable acts. Ibn Hazm 
said: “Marwaan Ibn Al-Hakam was the first to cause dissension amongst the Muslims without a sound reason [i.e. without having any doubt or misunderstanding of Islamic texts – from the Quran or the Sunnah] and he killed An-Nu’maan Ibn Basheer, the first person who was born in Islam, and he revolted against Ibn Az-Zubayr after he had pledged allegiance and obedience to him.”
Besides, Ibn ‘Abd-el-Barr said: “There is no difference of opinion among the trustworthy scholars that Marwaan killed Talha (Ibn Ubydillaah 
) while he was in his army at that time.”
Moreover, Ath-Thahabi said: “…And he did grave serious acts – we seek refuge in Allaah from that – as he shot Talha with an arrow and he did such and such….” He further said (in another place): “…and he killed Talha during the Battle of the Camel, while he himself escaped death - I wish he had not escaped death…”
Also, among his grave errors is what you mentioned that he contradicted the Sunnah on the Day of ‘Eed, as he gave the Khutbah before the ‘Eed prayer while the Sunnah is to perform the ‘Eed prayer first and then deliver the Khutbah, and he did not want to listen to those who objected to him in this regard.
Finally, it should be mentioned that a Muslim should consult the trustworthy scholars in issuing a judgment on people, especially the first generation, because the books on Maghaazi (first battles of Islam), biography and history are full of falsehoods and fabricated stories.
