All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
Ibn Hajar said in Tahtheeb At-Tahtheeb: “...and he was mentioned as one of those present at the Battle of Badr and [it was reported] that he was the one who spoke after death by Ibn Sa’d, Ibn Abi Haatim, At-Tirmithi, Ya’qoob ibn Sufyaan, Al-Baghawi, At-Tabari, Abu Nu’aym and others.” Therefore, it seems that this story has been verified by the scholars.
This story demonstrates the power of Allaah Almighty Who is Omnipotent, and Who is able to do all things. It also indicates the virtue of this Companion as Allaah honored him with this supernatural event.
Al-Haafith Ibn Hajar said in the biography of Zayd: “His father was present at the Battle of Uhud, and he himself was present at the Battle of Badr. Al-Bukhari and others mentioned that he was the one who spoke after death.”
Allaah Knows best.
