All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and messenger.
Shaykh Al-Albaani attributed this Hadeeth to Ad-Daylami, and he said about it in As-Silsilah Adh-Dha‘eefah (7/125): “It is weak."
The book Kanz Al-‘Ummaal is among the beneficial books which comprises the Hadeeth reports of the Prophet and its author collected in it Saheeh (sound), Hasan (good) and Dha‘eef (weak) Hadeeth reports.
The author may compile whatever has been presented on a given topic, or the section that discusses a given topic, from all of the books of Sunnah. So, one can find in it the Ahaadeeth reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim, those reported by Abu Daawood, At-Tirmithi, An-Nasaa’i and Ibn Maajah, and those reported in the Masaaneed (plural of Musnad, i.e. a Hadeeth compilation arranged according to names of Companions) and other books that may contain weak and fabricated Ahaadeeth. Sometimes he comments on some Ahaadeeth and mentions their degree of authenticity.
Therefore, it cannot be said that everything that is reported in this book is authentic.
Allaah Knows best.
