Ruling on wearing more than one ring on the same finger

Question:

What is the ruling on wearing a silver ring that has a certain jewel along with another ring that does not have a jewel on the same finger and same hand? What is the legitimate weight of the silver ring?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

As for women, there is no blame on them for wearing more than one ring on the same hand or same finger, whether the ring is of gold or silver. As for men, it is not permissible for them to wear gold, but there is nothing wrong with wearing a silver ring whether it contains a jewel or not.

Scholars held different opinions regarding men wearing more than one ring. The most valid opinion, however, is that doing so is permissible but that to be in the safe side, a man should not wear more than one ring.

As for the legitimate weight of the ring, there is no certain weight and there is tolerance in the matter.

Allaah Knows best.
