Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

Muslim scholars held that any discharge emitted from the two private parts (i.e. the front and back passages) is impure with a few exceptions for which there is evidence of their ritual purity. Al-Hattaab may Allaah have mercy upon him wrote: “All flowing discharges that come out of the front and back passages are impure, such as urine, stool, semen, Mathy (pre-ejaculatory fluid), Wady (white penile secretion), menstrual bleeding, post-partum bleeding, non-menstrual vaginal bleeding, and other kinds of moisture…” [Mawaahib Al-Jaleel]

Ibn Qudaamah may Allaah have mercy upon him wrote: “‘Any discharge of a human being or inedible animal like urine and others is impure.’ He meant what comes out of the two passages such as urine, stool, Mathy, Wady, blood, and other discharges. The impurity of that is agreed upon by the scholars except for a few things...” [Al-Mughni]

Hence, the fluid you mentioned that comes out of the back passage is impure and you should perform Istinjaa’ for it. The author of Ar-Rawdh Al-Murbi‘ wrote: “It is obligatory on the person to do Istinjaa’ for all discharge emitted from the back passage except for wind…

However, we would like to warn you against obsessive whisperings in this regard. Istinjaa’ should be done in a simple way without excessiveness in pouring water or inserting the water inside the anus as you mentioned. The Sharee‘ah does not require this and does not require that you ensure that the water enters the anus. So, fear Allaah and do not make things hard for yourself like that.

Please refer to Fatwas 173131 and 170735 about the stern warnings against following obsessive whisperings and immoderation in Istinjaa’.

Allaah Knows best.
