Fraternizing with the Jinn and seeking their help

Question:

What is the Islamic ruling on fraternizing with a Muslim Jinn, knowing that this is for the benefit of Islam and Muslims, and is done sincerely for the sake of Allaah The Almighty?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

Fraternity is a must among all Muslims; Jinn and human beings alike, for they are all meant in the verses where Allaah The Almighty Says (what means):

• {The believers are but brothers.} [Quran 49:10]
• {Then they are your brothers in religion} [Quran 9:11]

The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, mentioned that all Muslims are brothers in Islam. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

There is no problem with a man fraternizing with a Jinn, provided that it does not lead to committing something prohibited or supporting it.
