Question:

As-salaamu 3laikum, Could you tell me the tafseer of Surat An-Nazi'at aya 27? Jazaakum Allahu khairan

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

Ibn Katheer may Allaah have mercy upon him said in his Tafseer (interpretation of the Quran): "Allaah says (what means): {Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allaah constructed it.} [Quran 79:27]

''In this verse, Allaah Almighty presents arguments against those who deny the resurrection, saying: 'Are you, O people, more difficult to create or is the heaven?'; i.e., in fact, the heaven is more difficult to create than you; as Allaah says in another verse (what means): {The creation of the heavens and earth is greater than the creation of mankind.} [Quran 40:57] He also says (what means): {Is not He who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the likes of them? Yes, [it is so]; and He is the Knowing Creator} [Quran 36:81] Then, He says (what means): {Allaah constructed it.}; he explains this by the verse that follows: {He raised its ceiling and proportioned it.} [Quran 79:28] This means that He made it a lofty structure, vast in its space, with proportionate sides, and adorned it with stars that shine in the darkness of night."

Allaah Knows best.
