'Youth are the spark of the fire…' not found in the Hadeeth literature

Question:

Assalāmu 'alaykum. Is this a authentic narration?The Prophet (saw.) said:"The youth are the spark of the fire and the fire can help you or can burn you. Indeed their victory will come in the hands of the youth, and the supplication of the elder."[al mu'jam al kabeer]

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallAllaahu ʻalayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

We did not find any mention of this narration in Al-Muʻjam Al-Kabeer or Al-Muʻjam As-Sagheer of At-Tabaraani, or in any of the Hadeeth literature, so it should not be attributed to the Prophet, sallallaahu ʻalayhi wa sallam, except after the authenticity of its chain of narration is known.
