Ruqyah against magic spells

Question:

My daughter suffers from Mass (possession by the Devil) and she does strange things. Is it permissible to go to someone who treats Mass with the Quran?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu 'alyhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

If a person is affected by a magic spell or is possessed by Jinn, it is permissible to go to righteous people who are well versed in treating diseases using Ruqyah (healing with the Quran and Prophetic supplications); however a person must not go to magicians and soothsayers.

I advise this sister to:

  1. Perform Ruqyah until Allaah The Almighty cures her.
  2. Firmly believe that Allaah The Almighty is able to cure her. Allaah The Almighty Says quoting Ibraaheem may Allaah exalt his mention (what means): {And when I am ill, it is He who cures me.} [Quran 26:80]
  3. Supplicate to Allaah The Almighty to cure her.

Allaah Knows best.
