Question:

If a person firmly believed in the Two Testimonies of Faith, "There is none worthy of worship except Allaah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah," would this be enough for him to enter Paradise?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

If a person stated, firmly believed in, acted according to, and disbelieved in that which would be contrary to the Two Testimonies of Faith: "There is none worthy of worship except Allaah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah," and died without changing this belief, he would enter Paradise. In a Hadeeth narrated on the authority of ‘Ubaadah ibn As-Saamit may Allaah be pleased with him the Messenger of Allaah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said that if a person believed that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah, that ‘Eesaa (Jesus) was the Slave and Messenger of Allaah and the word of Allaah The Almighty which He directed to Maryam (Mary) and is a spirit from Allaah The Almighty, that Paradise is true, and that Hell is true, then Allaah would make this person enter Paradise. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

There are also several other Hadeeths in this concern.

Allaah Knows best.
