Buying food with VAT

Question:

Assalaamu alaykum, Shaykhs. In some restaurants, there is 15% VAT charged on food items. Is it permissible to buy foods from these restaurants?
Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

There is no harm in buying food from restaurants that add VAT as long as the food is lawful and the price is known to the buyer.
