Using phone apps that have ads

Question:

Nowadays, many phone apps have ads. We do not know whether the money earned by these ads is used to help non-Muslims against Muslims. Moreover, we do not know whether by disabling these ads they still get money. Should we use these apps?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

There is no harm in using these permissible applications, and there is no consideration for those doubts and obsessive whisperings (Waswaas). A person must neglect them and not let himself get carried away with them.

Waswaas is a serious disease; if a person gets carried away with it, it will spoil both his worldly life and his religion.
