All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
The leading Hadeeth scholars were less strict in narrating the ahaadeeth about Targheeb and Tarheeb (reward and punishment). Imaam Ahmad ibn Hanbal said, "Whenever we narrate a hadeeth about the lawful and unlawful matters (religious rulings), we would be very strict with the Isnaad (chain of narration), but when we narrate about rewards and punishments, we would be more lenient regarding the Isnaad."
However, they set certain conditions for narrating weak ahaadeeth and acting upon them. We have already underlined these conditions in fatwas 86128 and 166199.
Allah knows best.
