All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
It is permissible for a woman to work from her home through the Internet if this work is permissible, and the woman can perform her household duties towards her husband and her children if she is married.
If she needs to deal with male colleagues in the company or attend a meeting directly or through the Internet, she must abide by the Islamic conditions, such as seeking the husband’s permission when needed to go out and adhering to the Hijab, avoiding forbidden mixing and so on, and not soften her voice in a way that leads to temptation. So, she should speak normally, and the voice of a woman is not an ‘Awrah in principle according to the most preponderant opinion of the scholars.
For more benefit that a woman’s voice is not an ‘Awrah, please refer to Fataawa 246091, 263791, 84462, 82218 and 83899.
Allah knows best.
