Taking Birth Control Pills during Ramadan Nullifies Fasting

Question:

Salam alaykum,I am taking birth control during ramadan to prevent my period. I only take the pills after iftar because otherwise i will be breaking my fast. However, I yesterday have forgotten to take the pill and I have to take it in 12 hours otherwise my period will start. Since I am fasting i won’t be able to take it until it’s too late. What should i do? Should i take the pill even though i am fasting?
Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

It is not permissible for you to take those pills while you are fasting because taking them nullifies the fast. Taking those pills is not intended to treat a disease, so that it could be said that it is permissible.
