All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
There is no harm on you –Allah willing –in working as a student advisor/counsellor guiding them to work places or training places and so on, provided that you do not guide them to what is forbidden, otherwise you are helping them in sin.
Allah Says (what means): {And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.} [Quran 5:2]
Therefore, you should know that if you give advice to a student who wants to study music, about the place of study or the place of the school where music is taught, then this is helping in sin or guiding people to it.
Also, advice and counselling requires that you clarify to the person who seeks advice what harms him so that he would avoid it and not to help him in doing it.
As regards giving advice on an educational event to many educational institutions and collages, and various educational programs, some of which may involve what is forbidden, then there is no harm in this. Given that the person has the choice between all these fields, so if he chooses what includes what is forbidden, then you have nothing to do with that, so you are not sinful in that –Allah willing.
It should be noted that there are some Islamic conditions for a woman to work, which we have already clarified in Fatwa 82399, so please refer to it.
Allah knows best.
