All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
We ask Allah, the Almighty, to keep you steadfast on the Right Path.
If the statue that you have has two hands only and not the entire body, then it is not included in the pictures prohibited by the Sharee'ah, since the picture that has no head is not prohibited. In his Al-Mughni, Ibn Qudaamah said, “If the head is cut off (from the picture), then there is no dislikeability.”
Ibn ʿAbbaas said, “The picture is nothing but the head; so if the head is removed, it is no longer considered a picture.” This opinion is narrated on the authority of ʿIkrimah.
Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Messenger of Allah said, “Gabriel came to me and said, “I came to you last night and was prevented from entering simply by the fact that there were images at the door, for there was a figured curtain with images on it and there was a dog in the house. So order that the head of the image which is at the door of the house be cut off so that it may become like the form of a tree; order that the curtain be cut up and made into two cushions spread out on which people may tread; and order that the dog be put out.” Allah’s messenger then did so.” [This Hadith is narrated by Abu Dawood, At-Tirmidhi, and Ibn Hibbaan in his Saheeh]
Allah knows best.
