All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
The Sharee’ah has urged and encouraged Muslims to marry, because of the great interests it entails, the most important of which is following the guidance of the prophets and messengers, having offspring and being chaste, and so on. It is one of the good deeds that one should hasten to achieve as Allah The Almighty says (what means): {So race to [all that is] good.} [Quran2:148].
The ruling on marriage differs according to the conditions of people. Thus it may be desirable or obligatory. In any case, one should not turn away from it and remain single, whether a man or a woman, just because of what some people say about the fear from marriage. This fear is not justified, neither by Sharee’ah, nor by the habit of turning away from the great interests that are beneficial to the individual himself and the community.
Allah knows best.
