Deception and cheating are forbidden by Islamic law (Sharee'ah), and the evidence for their prohibition is abundant. It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah said: “He who treats us dishonestly does not belong to us.” [Sahih Muslim]
Accordingly, whoever falls into something of cheating and deception must repent to Allah the Almighty, regret what he did, resolve not to return to it, and seek forgiveness from Allah the Almighty.
As for the salary: If the person is qualified for the job and performs his work as required of him, then the salary is permissible for him.
