Zakah on Women's Golden Jewelry

Question:

Do women have to pay "Zakah" for their gold which they wear regularly? If the answer is yes, and she hasn't any source for gaining money, how can she pay? Thanks for your time.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

 

The scholars differed in opinion about the golden ornaments used by a woman for beautification whether or not she is obliged to pay Zakaat [obligatory charity] on it.

The most preponderant opinion of the scholars is that she is not obliged to pay Zakaat on it.
