Muslims with photographic picture

Question:

Can Muslims have photographic pictures of his friends in his room?
Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and  Messenger.

Without any legal necessity, keeping a picture of a person is prohibited, according to Prophet's sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) Hadith: “Angels do not enter a house where there is a picture or a dog”. This is a very great punishment and Islam punishes people only for Haram deeds. The house that is far from angels is prepared to become a residence of JINN and SATAN.
