Question:

What 's the Islamic Fatwa on people who do not accept to work with non-Muslims in Europe?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

If the work is permissible in Islam and in accordance with Islamic Law, and this work is neither forbidden nor disliked, then it is permissible to work with non-Muslims. The Muslims dealt with non-Muslims at the time of the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) and at the time of the four caliphs and during the time of the generation which followed them, and it is confirmed that the armour of Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) was mortgaged with a Jew, when he sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) died. Therefore, if a Muslim is a teacher, or professor, or expert, or a doctor, or does other permissible occupations, then it is permissible for him to work with non-Muslims as there might be some benefits in some kind of works and sciences, like getting some experience from them.

Allaah Knows best.
