Working around women in bathing suits, serving pork

Question:

My husband and I are Muslims. He works in a restaurant, outside, on the beach. There are women all around in bathing suits, bikinis and such. He is working also with pork. Work is enough here. Is this work right or haram? To be honest I don't like it. Thank you.

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

It is not permissible for a Muslim to work in a restaurant which provides pork as this is cooperating in sin and transgression.

Pork is forbidden and it is not permissible to offer it neither to a Muslim nor to a non-Muslim. Allah Says (what means): {Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine…} [Quran 5:3]

This job is even more forbidden since it is done on a beach where your husband may be tempted by women. Therefore, he is obliged to seek another lawful job. Allah Says (what means): {And whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine.} [Quran 65:2-3]

Indeed, whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better.
