Question:
I was reading Surah Waqia (56:60-62), reminding mankind of their early creation. What does Qur'an mean by "early creation"? Does it mean reincarnation of human beings? Please explain.
Answer:
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
Allah Says (Interpretation of meaning): {And you certainly know already the first form of creation: Why then you not take heed?}. [56:62].
This verse is one of some verses in which Allah establishes the after world replying to those who negate it i.e. the unbleivers and atheists who said: {What when we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be raised up again?}.[56:46].
They said this denying and rejecting the truth of the Day of Resurrection. Allah replies: {It is we who have Created you: why will you not admit the truth?}.[56:57].
This means that Allah has created everybody from nothing. Can't the one who created from nothing return what He had created in the same way or better? So, why don't you believe in the Resurrection? Then more verses follow to prove the truth of the Creation and Resurrection. Then Allah Says (Interpretation of meaning): {And you certainly know the first form of Creation: why then do you not take heed?}.[56:62].
So, why don't you believe in this truth? The One who had created you from nothing is able in the first place to cause your second creation much easily.
And Allah knows best.
