Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

Dear Borther,

Al Hijra and Takfir is a sect that was founded by Shukri Ahmad Mustapha in Egypt in the early seventies of the twentieth century.

This sect has some basic ideas and opinions that are opposed to the correct Aqida (creed) of the followers of the Sunnah. Here are some of these ideas:

1 - Accusing the Muslims who commit Kabair (great sins) or who continue to sins of disbelief.
2 - Vilifying the adoption of the legal views of a school or Mazhab i.e. imitation (Taqlid) and accusing the Muslims who follow a given Mazhab of unbelief.
3 - Putting an end to Ijma'a (Muslim scholars concensus) and accusing of unbelief those who believe that Ijma'a is a proof in Islam.
4 - Saying that they are the only Muslim group that should be followed and that any Muslim who does not follow them is a disbeliever.
5 - Claiming that their leader Shukri Mustapha is the expected Mahdi.
6 - Calling for illiteracy and forbidding studying in schools and universities as well as working in government jobs.

These are only a few misleading ideas both in Aqida (Islamic creed) and the method of applying Islam.

And Allah knows best.
