For the four options stated above, please provide separate details of all methods and authorities to "Pak" a metallic utensil in the light of Quran, Sunnah, Fiqah and Fatwa, irrespective of school of thought.
Answer:
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
Initially, the utensils or any other object that got some impurities on them are purified by removing the impurities completely with perfect (plain) water without any need to heat these objects.
But some scholars believe that impurities from pork have to be washed seven times, one of them with sand, just like the ruling concerning dogs that is in the known Hadith.
As for purifying with fire, please refer to fatwa: 81914.
Allah knows best.
