Question:

May a woman have I'tikaaf in the Ramadan? I want stay a night with the permission of my husband in the Mosque in Ramadan. Is this allowed in Islam?

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
If the woman's I'tikaf in the mosque is voluntary, she can do it provided her husband does not object to that, and gives her permission to do so. But if her I'tikaf is obligatory, such as to fulfill a vow, the permission of her husband is not obligatory in this case. "The Prophet used to perform Itikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan and his wives did the same thing after his death". [Al Bukhari]. Allah knows best.
