Needs to say Isha prayer after sleeping

Question:

I am a woman and work in an office. I have gone through a lot of problems which have made me quite tiresome. I work full time and by the time I reach home it is almost Maghrib. I say my prayers and then eat something. After eating I become drowsy and find it difficult/hard to say my Isha prayers. What do, I go to sleep and then get up. Sometimes, it is 12:00 midnight, 1:00 a.m. or 2:00 a.m. and then I say my Isha prayers. I feel guilty but I do not find myself strong enough to say them when it is time. After eating my blood pressure become quite low and I feel tired to get up and say prayers. I want to say my prayers, when I am fresh. I want to say them with desire and not just for the sake of doing it. Am I doing anything wrong?

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

It is unlawful to delay an obligatory prayer from its fixed time except for a sound excuse such as sleeping, forgetting, unconsciousness or the like.
So, whoever delays it without a sound excuse is a sinner and Allah has warned him of a bad fate. Allah Says (interpretation of meaning): {So woe unto those performers of Salât (prayers) (hypocrites), Who delay their Salât (prayer) from their stated fixed times,} [107: 4-5].
So, you should pray all the obligatory prayers in their fixed times even in your place of work.
But if you fall asleep unwillingly and do not wake up but after the passing of the time of the prayer, then you pray as soon as you wake up.
Muslim reported from Anas (Radiya Allahu Anhu) that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever forgets a prayer or sleeps before praying it, the expiation for this is to pray that prayer as soon as he remembers it" .
Allah knows best.
