Fifty year old wife can't be a twenty year old girl to husband

Question:

I'm 50 years old with 8 children. I spend most of my time in Du'a and prayers. Am I still obliged to give physical pleasure to my husband? He is 18 years older than I and still he expects behavior of a 20-year-old girl from me. I hope you understand my problem. What does Islam say about that? My all children are married and I served my husband my whole life. I still respect him, but what does Islam says of a such man?

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

It is a husband's right to get pleasure from his wife, i.e. to have sex as long as she is able and there will be no harm from that. Abu Hurairah (Radiya Allahu Anhu) reports that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: "When the husband calls his wife to his bed and she disobeys, and he spends the night in anger against her, the angels keep cursing her till the morning" . [Reported by Imams al-Bukhari and Muslim ].
In addition, there is no difference between a young and an old woman in this concern as long as there is no other obstacle. Know that presence of children in not a true reason to make you deny him such a right.
