Wearing braces on teeth

Question:

Is wearing braces treatment to straighten your teeth allowed in Islam?

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

If the teeth are ill positioned in the jaw, then there is no harm in straightening them up by wearing braces or by any other lawful means.
