All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
1- Ibn ‘Abbas narrated that the Prophet said about the one who recites Surah Al-Mulk [Quran 67]: “It is the protector and the saver; it protects its reciter from the torment of the grave.” [Al-Tirmithi who graded it as Hasan]
There are other narrations that support the above-stated Hadeeth. Among these are: (1) a narration of Abu ash-Shaykh and Ibn Mirdaweyh, Al-Haakim and (2) from Abu Hurayrah from ad-Daylami. Shaykh al-Albaani graded it as sound in his book 'al-Jaami' No. 3643 and his As-Silsilah as-Saheehah 3/31.
2- As for the Prophetic treatment of skin diseases, we have no evidence in this concern.
With regard to the black seed, the Prophet said: “The black seed is a cure for every disease except death.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim] This includes using the black seed through mouth or even as an oil to be used on the body. So, it is better to use it in both ways for skin diseases.
The book Al-Tibb al-Nabawi' (the Prophetic Medicine) is a good and useful book. All colleges of medicine should use it as a reference to teach the students (the medical and scientific) the miraculous nature of the Prophetic Hadeeth.
Also, to teach them the kinds and methods of Prophetic therapy, which is a form of revelation. Prophetic treatment demonstrated authenticity and truthfulness according to modern medicine, its discoveries and technology.
As for negligence of such knowledge in medical college in the Arab and Muslim countries, we state that such countries are subject to the influences of Western and Eastern civilizations concerning their education, laws and culture.
We ask Allah to grant us guidance.
Allah knows best.
