Little sister dominates and always gets what she wants

Question:

My little sister always takes over everything and everything she wants she gets, and that's not fair. Is that Haram in the Deen?

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. Preferring some children over others without any justification such as a dire necessity and the like, is not permissible. Imams al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated from Nu'aman Ibn Basheer that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said to Nu'aman 's father: "Your sons' right upon you is to treat them justly (giving each one what was given to his/her brother/sister)" . If preference is given to some children based on some legal reasons such as the child who is ill or busy in seeking knowledge then some scholars permitted giving preference to such children over others. Allah knows best.
