Question:

My husband was accused falsely by his co-worker that he touched her in response to a complaint placed against her. She is a Christian, who always treats Muslims badly seeing which my husband was angry and wrote a complaint against her, for which she lied about my husband touching her. Please tell me what Surah I should read.

Answer:

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. As a matter of fact, there are no specific verses, supplications, or other such formulae for one to recite in order to ward off this problem. Yet, he may recite whatever he likes of Surahs (Qur'anic chapters), verses, remembrance formulae, or supplications that could do the job. For verses, he may recite, for example, the Mu'awithat (the last three Surahs of the Qur'an), for verses, he may recite Al-Kursi (2:255), for remembrance formulae, he may recite "'A'oothu Bikalimatil-Laahit-Tammati Min Sharri Ma Khalaq" [I seek refuge with The Perfect Words of Allah from the evil of all what Allah has created (man, animals, things, etc.)], and for supplications, he may recite: "Allahumma La Sahla Illa Ma Ja'altahu Sahla, Wa Anta Taj'alul Hazana Itha Shi'ta Sahla". [O Allah The Almighty! Nothing can be easy except that which You make easy, for You make any hard matter easy if You Wish]. Finally, we have to mention that it is forbidden for men and women to work together in one place of work, as we elaborated in Fatwa: 83488. Allah knows best.
