All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
A woman who has bleeding discharges outside her monthly periods should pray like any woman who is pure [not in her menstruation period]. However, she is obliged to clean her vagina and cover it tightly with a piece of cloth or the like. She should also clean any stains of blood that might be on her clothes. She should perform ablution for every prayer but she should not do so except after the time of the prayer has begun.
Also, it is lawful for her to combine the Thuhr and 'Asr prayers on one hand, and the Maghrib and 'Isha prayers on the other hand. She has the choice between combining the prayers in the time of the first prayer or the time of the second one. This is the opinion of the Hambali School of jurisprudence.
The author of the book entitled Al-Insaaf wrote: "A woman who has bleeding discharges outside her monthly periods (and a woman on whom the same ruling applies) is permitted to combine the prayers according to the correct opinion of the School (i.e. Hambali School).”
Moreover, she can pray any number of supererogatory prayers she wishes with each obligatory prayer.
