All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.
Marriage in itself is an objective as it is a Sunnah of the Prophet and endeavouring to imitate the guidance of the Prophet is an objective that every Muslim aims at for the reward, the good and blessings that are in it. This objective is even more confirmed when the person fears to commit illegal sexual intercourse, as in this case it is an obligation on him to marry. We have already discussed the rulings of marriage in Fatwa 81853, so please refer to it.
Moreover, marriage is a means of satisfying one's desires and getting children, and achieving peace, tranquillity, affection and love between the spouses. Therefore, it becomes evident that marriage is a means and an objective at the same time, with two different meanings.
Allaah Knows best.
