asalamu alaykumi live in egypt but now i am in a holiday in germany & holland visiting my uncles & my aunts. and me al hamdulilah finished quraan and they told me everytime hafidh ul quraan and i afraid it would be hasad, is it hasad?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

First of all, we advise you not to be overwhelmed be the fear of envy, as it is only what Allaah has decreed on you that will come to pass. You have to keep mentioning the legislated mention of Allaah in the mornings and evenings, when going to bed, and when waking up from sleep, as this Mention of Allaah is the best way for a parson to protect himself from any harm.

Furthermore, you have to be very careful about a very serious matter which is even more serious than magic, and it is one of the things which the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) warned his nation about, which is showing off. The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "The most thing I fear for you [the Muslim nation] is the minor Shirk, which is showing off, as on the Day of Resurrection Allaah will say when He has finished recompensing everyone according to their deeds: ''Go to those to whom you were showing off in the world, and get your recompense from them." [Ahmad]

The above narration was just for your information as the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) feared it for us to commit it, otherwise we hope that you are among the sincere people who perform deeds only for Allaah's Sake.

Finally, we ask Allaah to enable you and us to do acts only for His Sake.

Allaah Knows best.
