Question:

what does quran say about a converted muslim girl meeting or staying at her non muslim parents

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

We have already issued Fataawa 89837, 89563 and 89664 clarifying that we Muslims are obliged in our religion to be kind and dutiful to our parents even if they are non-Muslims, and that we should treat them kindly, so please refer to the above Fataawa.

Furthermore, any woman who is a new Muslim should be keen on learning the religious rulings and be keen on keeping company with pious Muslim women so that they would help her in performing good deeds and being steadfast on her religion. Additionally, she should endeavour to soften the hearts of her family towards Islam and show them the merits of this religion, especially through her practical conduct.

Finally, it should be noted that if she fears to be afflicted in her religion by staying with her parents, then she is obliged to look for another accommodation where she will be safe regarding her religion and dignity.

Allaah Knows best.
