Two Israelis Killed South of Hebron
Two Israelis, a male and female, were killed Friday night after shots were fired at their car near the West Bank settlement of Meitar. The car was found near a village located south of Hebron. The shots were apparently fired from a passing car, which fled the scene, Haaretz reported. As a result of the shots fired, the driver lost control of the vehicle, and the car overturned. Earlier Friday, a Palestinian bomber blew himself up near an Israeli military outpost close to the Kfar Darom settlement, in the Gaza Strip. The bomber was killed, and no other injuries were reported in the incident. The bomber, whose explosive device apparently detonated prematurely due to a technical malfunction, had approached the outpost on bicycle. The bomber was dispatched by Islamic Jihad. **PHOTO CAPTION*** Israeli soldier direct a tank at the army base next to the southern Gaza Strip settlement of Kfar Darom in the Jewish settlement block of Gush Katif.
