How to deal and heal when a friend breaks up with you

19-09-2017

Question My friend and I used to be so close and shared secrets, and we were like sisters. We helped each other and stayed together through thick and thin. All of a sudden, we started fighting all the time, without any concrete reason. At first, we would remember all the good things we have gone through together and would go back to be friends, but now everything is so bad, and we either fight or talk a little, like strangers; we are not even able to support each other. I want her to become my friend like before; she was so close and supported me. I suffer from OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Di...... More

The caliphate of Al-Hasan -I

11-09-2017

Al-Hasan Ibn Ali Ibn Abu Talib, may Allaah be please with him, was the last of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs. He, may Allaah be pleased with him, was born in the middle of Sha'ban 3 AH. He resembled the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, who named him Al-Hasan, and nobody had this name during the Age of Ignorance. 'Abdullah Ibn Az-Zubayr, may Allaah be pleased with him, is reported to have said, " Al-Hasan resembled the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, very much who loved him dearly." Imam Al-Bukhari, may Allaah have mercy upon him, reports from Abu Bakr, may Allaah be pleased...... More

Allah Almighty Says (what means): {Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve (lunar) months in the register of Allah (from) the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion (i.e. way), so do not wrong yourselves during them. And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively. And know that Allah is wit...... More

Failure to make the farewell Tawaf for Hajj

10-09-2017

Question: What is the ruling of somebody that went for Hajj and did not perform Tawaaf Al-Wadaa'? Fatwa: All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. Performing the farewell Tawaf (circumambulation) is an obligation on the pilgrim after finishing his rituals of Hajj and upon his departure from Makkah according to the majority of scholars [the Hanafi, Shafi'ee, Hanbali and others, may Allaah have mercy upon them]. However, women in menses or in confinement period after givi...... More

The believer does not curse

20-09-2017

When the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, guided the one who was seeking salvation to control his tongue, this was an indication of the grave dangers of the tongue, particularly when one gives it free rein. Getting used to abusing and cursing is one of the greatest dangers of the tongue. Many people think too lightly of this and therefore curse their children, transportation, those who contr...... More

17-09-2017

In one of the great prophetic narrations which included few, yet very comprehensive words, the Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, clarified one of the means for salvation, and a sign of the excellence of Islam. This narration gives the believing slave a tool by which to measure himself and realize how close or far he is from the straight path. Abu Hurayrah, may Allaah be pleased with him, rep...... More

Lessons Drawn from the Obligation of Hajj - I

13-09-2017

The days of Hajj passed, its rituals are over and most of the pilgrims returned home, carrying the memories of their journey to the House of Allah Almighty. However, if the rituals of Hajj are over, its benefits and objectives are not and will never come to an end. A Christian missionary once said: Islam will remain the strong rock that will destroy the ships of Christian missionary activities a...... More
